Biography

D. Srinivas, a child prodigy in Veena, has born in a family of musicians at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. His mother Smt. D. L. Tulasi, a popular Veena Artiste having identified his taste and talent in Veena, initiated and encouraged him to pursue and master the art. Srinivas gave his maiden concert at the age of 9 for AIR, Hyderabad. Vidwan Sri N.S. Srinivasan a desciple of flute maestro late Sri T.R. Mahalingam, is his guru and master architect to introduce him as an artiste with laudable individual traits. Srinivas is a scholarship holder from A.P. Sangeeta Natak Academy for 6 years. Srinivas has participated in almost all the prestigious Gana Sabhas and has been the recipient of many awards for his meritorious and merit worthy performances.
