Biography

Trained under guidence of reputed gurus like Pt. Madhusudan Joshi, Pt. Dinkar Kaikini (Agra gharana), Pt. Narayanrao Patwardhan (Gwalior gharana). An ex lecturer at the historic M. S. University and the ex cultural secretary, teacher cum performer at the Indian embassy in Suriname-south America. A rare combination of good performer and teacher having wide knowledge and experience of teaching techniques and voice culture has widely travelled in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, USA and caribbean countries like Suriname, Guyana and Trinidad. Able teacher and performer of Dhrupad, Khayal, Thumri and Bhajans has done many workshops all over the world as well as in India on charity as well as commercial basis. Recepient of Sr. Fellowship awarded by the Govt. of India for documentation of Rare ragas and compositionsas well as Indian music for non Indians-foreigners.
