Biography

Vice Chancellor(1997-2004). Dean&Head of the Deptt.(1981-1997&2004 onward). Approved A Grade Artist of All India Radio& Television. Played National Program of Sitar in Radio& TV many times. Widely travelled to Far Eastern Countries and Europe and performed 100 Sitar recitals &70 Lec-Dems. Opened many music schools there. Performed in various Universities/Institutes/Colleges of the country. Gold Medalist, BHU. Published best seller 4 books on Music& 2 Books on lyrics. Written 3000 Bhajans, Dohas, Lyrics, Poems. Directed/released a cassette on Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Member of decision making bodies of UGC, New Delhi. Chairperson, Peer Team, NAAC, Bangalore and graded many universities/ Institutes/ colleges. UGC National Fellow. Awarded UGC Major Research Project. Received many Awards from various Agencies. Writing two books on Music Compositions.Recently completed one Project on The Concept Of Shiva awarded by IIHS H.P.U. Shimla.
