Biography

Daughter of Music Director ( films, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam) G. Aswathama, Veena exponent and Teacher Mrs Kamala Aswathama, is my mother and also my Guru, Sister of Child Prodigy and Veena Maestro Mrs E. Gayathri. Now Married to a Merchant Navy Captain and settled in Mumbai. I am a graded artist in All India Radio, I have Performed in Sabhas, private organisations, Music Festivals, in India and Europe. I am Performing as well as Teaching Music from Mumbai now. I teach both Veena and Vocal. Have also done Music workshops in Switzerland, France and Germany. I am now a professor with Mumbai University where I teach Carnatic music theory to Undergraduate students. Teaching and Music are my passions.
