Biography

OBJECTIVE To promote, sing and enjoy Carnatic Classical Music as a pervasive medium for self-expression. BACKGROUND My worship at the shrine of music as a carnatic vocalist began when I was five years old. I was initiated into Carnatic music by my mother and then have been trained by renowned carnatic vocalist, Shri P.N. Padmanabhan (retired music teacher from Shanmukhananda Fine Arts) for the past 15 years. Performed at several occasions in Mumbai (namely Ashtika Samaj, Borivili, Sri Rama Mandir-Goregaon) Received awards from Shanmukhananda ( Smt.Karuganti Sathyavati Memorial Award, Smt. Latha Sunderrajan Endowment Award), Certificate of Merit (19-25 Years) in Carnatic Classical Vocal from Sri Ranjani Sangeeta Sabha , Dombivili Year, 1999 and several others.
