Biography

Born in famous prestigious family of hereditary maestro of kathak of Lucknow gharana. He is the son of late legendry Padmasree Pt. Sambhu Maharaj. His initiation in kathak dance was under his father at the age of six. His father taught him the proper style of kathak and abhinaya. After the death of his he was guided by pt. Birju Maharaj. He proved himself to be a great maestro in kathak. He belongs to the great family of KALKA-BINDADIN Gharana. He is the seventh generation of this family of great galaxy of kathak heroes. He has widely performed soloist in the prestigious programs in all major states of India. He has successfully choreographed many ballets in India and in abroad. After Birju Maharaj, he is the traditional bearer of Lucknow gharana according to audience.
