Biography

Greetings in Music; I have studied Tabla under the tradions of the Delhi Gharana in 2001, and all South Indian percussion under V. (Ghatam) Suresh, my guru in Chennai. I perform professionally in Australia on Tabla and Mridangam with Sitar, Sarod, and Veena artistes. I have incorporated the language of Tabla; Mridangam and Tavil to create my own signature sound enabling me to play any rhythmic pattern musically and with feeling. I also use regularly in my concerts in World Music a stripped down drumkit -- with all my other percussion being micd up in the centre and the drumkit spread around me allowing me the musical freedom to move at will onto any percussion in classical or fusion styles.
