Biography

Thakur Chakrapani Singh, a celebrated artiste, an innovator and exponent of Indian Classical Music, with his own style, is a descendant of a royal family of (Darbhanga) India .His Childhood and adolescence as well had a superb blend of SUR & TAAL. Instinctively inspired from his mothers side with environmental infusion evolved an impetus to set himself to music. He started learning the rare and ancient art of DHRUPAD style from Late Pt.Vidur Mallick a famous singer of Dhrupad. Later being delighted by the enchanting melody of the Guitar, he adopted the instrument once for all with the core of his heart. It was the melodious musical appeal akin to vocal music and glidingly wavy effect, which resulted in the change. He started taking strenuous as well as prudent strides in pursuit of acquiring the attributes of Indian classical musical. He placed himself at the altar of the Gurus & Ustads viz. Ustad Maqbool Hussain, Pt. Jotin Bhattacharya, Smt. Saran Rani
